OL 2007 Mail format switched

Using Outlook 2007 with the HTML outgoing mail set. Image below shows my problem. While typing an email last night the style - format - whatever switched to this UN-godly small font with an unusually wide page setting.
Question is: how do I revert it back to something normal?
Search for normal.dot on my laptop and no go, but I did find a normal.dotm.
And I thought I knew Outlook... <sigh>.

It looks like the zoom has been set to less than 100%.
Click in the body of the e-mail.
Activate the Format Text tab of the ribbon.
Click Zoom.
Select 100%, then click OK.

Thank you Hans, I don't know how you do this, but you are spot on.
Your fix worked and I now have a slightly deeper understanding of Outlook.

You probably set the zoom level accidentally by holding the control key while you moved the scroll wheel on your mouse.
