I normally have Outlook 2010 set up so that it avoids covering the two columns of icons to the far left and the far right of my wide-screen monitor, and locate the current email message to completely cover this window.
However, when I click on another email message, it opens 'offset', down and to the right by about half a centimetre.
(Subsequently-opened messages seem to be in the hoped-for location, unusually...)
Does any Hans know how consistently to achieve the effect I require, please? Thanks!

Re: Outlook 2010 - email message offset from Outlook window
When I open several e-mail windows, each new one is offset down and to the right of the previous one. As far as I know, there is no way to change this behaviour.
Best wishes,
Hans

So what you do is make the first email pane smaller, so that you can add several more, without covering the area you do not want covered.

Re: Outlook 2010 - email message offset from Outlook window
I just wanted the message window to completely and exactly overlay the Outlook window (rather like a Full Screen view, but missing the first two and last two columns of icons). I admit that this is not likely to be a mass requirement!

John, does switching between "standard view" and "reading view" help with the behavior? See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlo ... 29838.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sadly, no - the email window still opens offset by several mm right and down.
