Is it possible to increase the size of the font used to display the mail folder tree in the left hand pane in Outlook 2007?
I've looked in 'Customize current view' but not found anything that helps...

Apparently not - see Customize the Navigation Pane - Outlook - Office.com, which leads to Can I change the font in the Navigation Pane? - Outlook - Office.com that states:
At this time, you cannot change the font type, color, or size in the Navigation Pane.
However, our software development team is aware of this request, to be considered for future product releases.
If you have difficulty reading the text size in the Navigation Pane, you can try setting your screen resolution lower. Another option is using Windows Magnifier.

For the record, it seems it can be done in Outlook 2010:
Customize the Navigation Pane - Outlook - Office.com
Customize the Navigation Pane - Outlook - Office.com

Thank you Leif. Changing the screen resolution isn't a sensible option on a flat screen so it looks like we'll have to wait for an upgrade to 2010 but when I tell you that we only got Office 2007 as an upgrade to Office 2000 less than a year before Office 2010 came out...
