I don't remember seeing the Chinese Conversion section on the Ribbon before. This is on the Home tab of Outlook 2010.
Does anyone know where this came from?

Re: Chinese Conversion
It's present in my Outlook (see screenshot of Outlook Options > Customize Ribbon), but not visible in the ribbon.
Did you receive a message with Chinese characters?

Re: Chinese Conversion
I often receive messages with Chinese characters, but they haven't turned on this feature before.

Re: Chinese Conversion
I stumbled on how to remove this, more by luck than judgement. In WORD (not Outlook)
File > Options > Language >
Remove all the East Asian languages
Then restart Outlook
File > Options > Language >
Remove all the East Asian languages
Then restart Outlook

No you didn't, you carefully applied the Dirk Gently ("the fundamental interconnectedness of all things") approach to solving your problem.StuartR wrote:I stumbled on how to remove this, more by luck than judgement. In WORD (not Outlook)
