Today I had to uninstall Chrome and then reinstall it on machines that had worked for years with the above type of shortcuts. In trying to create a new shortcut a dialog box saying it could not find Google Chrome executable file or some words to that affect. Even though the machine would open older shortcuts of the same type, I had to reinstall Chrome to get it to work with the above shortcut. Had it happened on only 1 machine, I would have figured it was an odd event that would not repeat itself, but it happened on 4 machines. Any ideas why this would happen?
Thanks
For some reason when I typed the above link a and made it a clickable link that one can use, it would not open correctly in that it took me to another incident of this lounge. It said the requested page could not be found. As a desktop shortcut it does open Chrome and takes me to the comic strip named Mother Goose and Grimm.
This is what the entire link is -
I am not sure why I cannot get the site's address to not be a hyperlink. If I do nothing like using the lounges' insert hyperlink, the part starting with http// becomes a hyperlink on its own. I can't find a way to remove that hyperlink. What I did above so you can see what I wanted to show is added spaces after http: and www and the . and arcamax and the next . to make it show what I wanted to show."C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"https: // www . arcamax . com/thefunnies/mothergooseandgrimm/
