Strangeness from eBay

Post by BobH »

For reasons unknown to me, eBay thinks that I am in Korea.

My VPN points to a US location. Any explanations? How can I fix this so that I see eBay in English?

 :chocciebar: :thankyou:

Scroll all the way down. Do you see a flag near the lower right corner? If so, click it and select the USA flag.
Best wishes,
Hans

On a small international payment, due to me a few weeks ago, the 'office' calculated from North Korean Won ... took a while to correct :groan: I'm not sure if it would have been a 'winner' to leave their calculation as was.

Following your instructions, I did scroll, found the flag, clicked it, then choose the Stars and Stripes; but the display continued in Korean. I found the Maple Leaf, clicked it, and now have English but all prices are Canadian. I can't seem to get back to US identity.

Try these ideas in this order:
1) Having selected the US flag, hold down the shift Key and then click on the reload icon, which will force FF to completely reload the page
If that doesn't work:
2) Clear the FF cache and eBay cookies, via Settings | Privacy & Security | Cookies and Site Data
Still no joy?
3) Use CCleaner to blitz the FF cache and cookies

If none of those works, I'm out of ideas.

I cleared cache and restarted Fx. That seems to have fixed the problem as I now see eBay pages in English - American English, not the kind from the GWN. :flee:
