I thought that when I opened a link to a different window the focus used to go to the new window but that is not happening now on my PC. Hopefully someone can tell me how to turn on that feature again.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Move Focus to New Window
Are you referring to hyperlinks in your browser; and if you say 'new window' are you referring to navigating to new tabs?
If so, hyperlinks store this detail within the hyperlink itself. Some hyperlinks open in the same browser tab while others (like in the lounge) contain the command to always open in a new browser tab.
If i'm misunderstand, please clarify.

If you are talking about Firefox then think the setting you are looking for is this one:
Ken
There will be equivalent settings in other browsers.Ken

Re: Move Focus to New Window
IF you use Firefox .... In stuck's jpg the 2nd Chk mark is equally important (to me) & self-explanatory: "When you open a new tab, switch to it immediately".
Edge that I rarely use only offers (switch immediately) -- Ctrl-Shift, Left Clk url -- so far.
Some Edge Updates rumored to be coming & hopefully web posts about no - switch immediately - setting made a dent in their logic

Re: Move Focus to New Window
I'm old fashioned and still using Internet Explorer. CraigS26's comment about "When you open a new tab, switch to it immediately" is exactly what I'm talking about. Is there a similar setting in Internet Explorer?
Thanks, CraigS26 and Rudi.

In IE 11Options / General tab / Tabs - Tabbed Browsing.... I see "Always switch to new tabs when they are created".
Not on your's?

In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Internet Options.
In the General tab, click Tabs.
You can specify here how links should be opened.
