I am constantly being required to log in to various sites
I am constantly being required to log in to every site that I visit (including EileensLounge) even though I never log out and am always requesting that IE remember me at each visit. The issue has been getting progressively worse with more and more web sites failing to retain my login sessions. How can I get IE to automatically remember me when visiting and logging into web sites?

I have no idea why it should be getting 'progressively worse', but I would check your security/cache settings and make sure you haven't set an option to clear everything when you close your browser.

I agree with Leif.
Try this....IE: Enable/Disable Prompt to Remember Passwords

Leif: My security is set to Medium High. Where are my cache settings?
Rudi: I don't believe the issue is with remembering my passwords. Rather, I am constantly being asked to log in for each visit. In the past, with this site, I was always logged in unless I logged out. Now, when I visit the site, I need to login each time. The same is true for other sites.

Select Tools > Internet Options...
Has the check box "Delete browsing history on exit" been ticked?

You also have not responded to Hans's question. Are you aware of any apps that you allow to auto-clean your cache and password history?

Hans, it was checked. I unchecked it. I suspect that should fix it.

Unticking the check box "Delete browsing history on exit" has fixed most of this issue, but I am still always prompted to log in to Facebook at each visit. Is there a special setting in Facebook that automatically logs users out after each session?

I don't use FaceBook, so I cannot help you with that.

On the login page, in the top right, immediately under the email field there is a 'Keep me logged in' tick box, tick it and you should be still logged in when you next visit Facebook.jmt356 wrote:...Is there a special setting in Facebook that automatically logs users out after each session?
However, if that box on the Facebook login page is already ticked and you are still being asked to log in every time then your browser is not retaining the Facebook cookie that remembers the fact you ticked that box. In that case, check the cookie settings in your browser and update them as appropriate. In Firefox that means looking in Options | Privacy and ticking the box to 'Accept cookies from sites' and setting the 'Keep until' drop down to 'they expire'. IE and Chrome will have equivalent settings but I don't use either of those browsers so I can't give you explicit instructions.

It seems from stuck's response that the issue is with IE not retaining the Facebook cookie, since I always tick "Keep me logged in" in the log in page.
