Microsoft releases hotfix for Internet Explorer

Post by HansV »

The Cumulative Updates for Internet Explorer (all versions) of July 2014 and August 2014 contain a bug that can in special circumstances cause Internet Explorer to become unresponsive for minutes at a time, with high CPU usage. This may occur when a web application opens several modal windows in quick succession.

If you experience this problem, you can install the hotfix appropriate to your version of Internet Explorer and Windows released on the 20th of August. It is available at Internet Explorer may become slow or unresponsive when web applications implement consecutive modal dialog boxes.

There is no need to install this hotfix if you don't experience the problem - it will undoubtedly be incorporated in a future Cumulative Update.
Best wishes,
Hans
