SQL Express Report Builder

Hello. SQL Server 2008 Express.

I can't determine whether I am able to obtain a Report Builder tool for SQL Server 2008 Express. One link http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... x?id=26729 mentions 'Reporting Services' but I don't think this is the same thing(?).

I found another MS link for Report Builder but a pre-requisite is 'Access to an instance of the SQL Server 2008 R2 Database Engine' (no mention of Express).

Is the Report Builder available to me or am I being too optimistic Andy.

Reporting Services is a generic tool - it is available (but not installed by default) for SQL Server Express. Report Builder extends the functionality of Reporting Services. You need the "full" version for Report Builder; it is not available for the Express edition.
