Hi,
I just got a call from someone who can't get into their database which is connect to sql tables on the backend. When they looked at the database tables there is a message on it that says recovery pending. I've not seen this before and am not sure how to advise them.

This is a problem with the SQL Server database. The SQL Server admin will have to look into it. See How to fix Recovery Pending State in SQL Server Database?

Any idea how long this takes to run. The person with the issue is actually using the repair took for the software in the link but it's been running all day and he is hesitant to stop it.

I'm sorry, I have no experience with being a SQL Server admin, so I have no idea.
