here a method for MySql Server, to create table, but how to use in Access Database
note:
i just have created a blank geonames database.
naturally trasform this script for vb6 use:
LOAD DATA INFILE '/data/allCountries.txt' INTO TABLE geoname (geonameid,name,asciiname,alternatenames,latitude,longitude,fclass,fcode,country,cc2, admin1,admin2,admin3,admin4,population,elevation,gtopo30,timezone,moddate);

Sorry, no idea. you'll probably have to edit the files manually to remove superfluous information, then import them in your access database.
