Master Layout reset to follow Master??

In PPT there is a Master slide view and below that one can create layouts which are basically "clones" where the user can create templates that deviate from the main master a little bit.

I have a situation where in the layouts (the clones) someone als accidentally changed the position of the footer... I just want that to follow the main master slide again. How do I reset that element and basically re-apply the main master for that one?

UPDATE: I played some more with it just now and it looks as if when I simply hide the footer and then re-show it (there's a check bos for that on the ribbon) the footer will indeed follow the main master again. So maybe this is solved already...
