I was recently upgraded to Office 2007. It seems to me that in older versions of Office I could open PPT twice. This gave me an easy ability to have 2 different presentations with full tools without having to 'stretch' the program around the screen. Much easier. Is there a way to do this in 2007?
Thanks

Re: Open PowerPoint 2007 twice
I just tested on an XP SP3 machine with PPT 2007. I can open as many copies of PPT as I want. What happens on your PC?

Re: Open PowerPoint 2007 twice
Windows 7 lets me open only a single instance of PowerPoint 2007. But I can open as many presentations as I want in that instance.
MVP John Wilson has a suggestion for a workaround: Multiple Monitor Magic.

Re: Open PowerPoint 2007 twice
I can open multiple powerpoint presentations, but they are always in the same PPT window. I have attached an image for you Joe in case there was any confusion. This image is what I do not want.
Hans, that is a solution, but I am sure my IT department would go nuts. Thanks though.

Re: Open PowerPoint 2007 twice
I'm afraid it's the only option for PowerPoint 2007.
PowerPoint 2010 has a single document interface, i.e. each presentation window has its own ribbon etc.

Re: Open PowerPoint 2007 twice
Thanks HansV. Not the answer I was hoping for, but at least I can tell the anti-MS people here that it is fixed in the newer version.
