...it was there because it is where Rob Bovey's XY chart labeller lives but it's not there now.
I know the Add-ins tab doesn't appear unless there is an active Add-in but despite the XY chart labeller being installed and I've used it in the past it doesn't appear in the list of Add-ins in Options | Add-ins at the moment - hence no tab.
I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling chart labeller v7.0 no joy, tried upgrading to v7.1, still can't find it.
I need the XY chart labeller back.

Re: add-in tab missing from XL 2007 ribbon
Does it appear in the list of disabled add-ins by any chance?

Perhaps it has become disabled?
Click the Office button.
Click Excel Options.
Click Add-Ins.
Select "Disabled Items" from the Manage dropdown.
Click Go...
If XY Chart Labeler is listed, select it, click Enable, then Close.

Re: add-in tab missing from XL 2007 ribbon
No, it wasn't disabled that was one of the first places I looked.
My immediate panic is over but mystery remains....
I have persuaded Excel to find the chart labeller by manually browsing to the \Program Files\AppsPro\Chartlabeller via the Options | Add-ins manage Excel Add-ins dialog.
But that doesn't explain why it disappeared in the first place and why the installer, which pointed Excel to that folder automatically in the past, couldn't repeat that trick.

edited to add, v7.1 is neat, it gives the tool its own ribbon

Yes, that's mysterious. I still had 7.0 and prompted by your post, I uninstalled it then installed 7.1. As expected, there was a new tab when I started Excel...
Best wishes,
Hans
