Stacked column differences

Post by agibsonsw »

Hello. Excel 2003.

I have a column of values with some less than 30,000 and some more.
I would like to create a stacked column chart which indicates by colour which values fall below
30,000 and which are above 30,000. Ideally this would involve three colours. A default blue for the
initial part of the column, which turns red between the actual value and 30,000 (if it's less) and
green for the part beyond 30,000 if it exceeds this value.

Sorry if my description is a bit poor. Andy.

Could you post a picture of what you'd like to achieve?
Best wishes,
Hans

Hello.
In attempting to draw a picture I solved it by creating three additional columns, as shown in
the attachment.
I suppose it might be possible to avoid the need for additional columns using named formulas?
Thanks, Andy.

I think you do need the additional columns.
Best wishes,
