Hello
I am currenlty painstakingly sorting values in a list to be consitent, I am currenly doing this manually, is there a more efficent way please?. Best served by an example I guess. On the attached sheet, Column J are unique cleansed names which exist in manyy instances on the righlt list but with sometimes different versions of the name, often shortended or longer, sometimes the same. How can i more efficienlty get a version of the right list so every name in it is presented with the version of the cleansed name in the left list?
thank you in advance.

Microsoft has a Fuzzy Lookup add-in for Excel. I haven't had much success with it, but you might give it a try. Let us know how you fare.

Thank you Hans, I have had a look and I'm with you, the success is hit and miss. Not sure it saves much time from doing things manaully, subjective i guess :)
