Auto row height not working well

Post by StuartR »

I usually double click on the divider between row numbers to automatically set the row height. This usually works, but sometimes it leaves cells with their content truncated.

This sanitised worksheet shows the issue, any suggestions for why this happens or how to avoid/correct it?

This is a persistent problem in Excel. The autofit algorithm is far from perfect, and there is no solution or workaround except manually adjusting the row heights.
Best wishes,
Hans

Try changing the zoom factor 80% then back to 100% or just zoom to selection then back to 100%.

That worked! Thank you. I would never have guessed.
