Multi select dropdown lists in excel ONLINE

Just as the title says. is this possible? It has to be excel ONLINE, I have already solved on desktop through VBA but this obviously doesn't convert to online

I had a quick look at office scripts but I believe these need to be triggered (cannot run on change/ on edit as VBA or google appscripts can)

I think it just cannot be done but if anyone has a solution I would be very grateful.

As far as I know that isn't possible.
