Changing R1C1 Option

I am encountering the following error when I try to uncheck the R1C1 option in File>Options>Formulas>R1C1 Reference Style. I'm not sure how to resolve it.

Could you attach a copy of the workbook?

Hans,

The challenge seems to have resolved itself. I had turned off the laptop, booted up this morning and was able to uncheck the R1C1 option.

I can not replicate the error at this time.
