Control shapes with VBA

Hello. Excel 2007.
Where can I find documentation to program Excel shapes - the smiley face, etc.? The macro recorder
doesn't help.

Which problem are you referring to?

I assume that the macro recorder doesn't capture manipulation of shapes.
