How can I even out the height of my two columns?

Post by jmt356 »

Text in the column on the left is three inches tall and the text spilling over into the column on the right is only one inch tall. How can I even them out?

I just figured this out: delete the extra paragraph breaks after the text in the second column.

Tip: if you want Word to balance the column length, insert a continuous section break at the end of the last column.
The result may not be perfect, though - the rules for widow/orphan control, keep with next etc. have precedence above balancing column length.
Best wishes,
Hans
