Hi
This is unusual. The fields in my document are not being updated - whatever I do :-(. Checking the field codes, I found that 'Update fields' option is greyed out (in fact in some case also Edit field is greyed out) & I don't understand why? Have I inadvertantly set/reset some option as this was working fine this morning.

Perhaps the fields have been locked against updating by pressing Ctrl+F11.
Select the fields (or the entire document), then press Ctrl+Shift+F11. This should unlock all locked fields.
