Strange Symbol Instead of Plus

Post by Sundog »

In Word 2007, one of my screenshots displays a directory-like list, with symbols to change what level shows (analogous to the familiar plus and minus symbols used in Windows Explorer). In my document, I need to show these symbols, preferably as a font character instead of a picture, and wonder if anyone has seen them rendered that way. The top two show a compacted level and the bottom shows an expanded level. See picture.

After a little experimenting, I find that I can come fairly close with o- (small letter o and hyphen) and

Code: Select all

[ eq o\d\ba4()\s\down8(') }

That's probably the best you can do - there don't seem to be Unicode characters consisting of a small circle with a short line extending from it.
Best wishes,
Hans
