New section on odd page

I have set an odd page break to go before the start of any new chapter in my document. Every chapter from p. 1-39 starts on an odd page. From page 40-88, every chapter starts on an even page. When I go to the first page of any chapter from p. 40-88 nad instead configure the section to begin on an even page, it starts on an odd page. Word thus seems to be very confused about pages 40-88. Why is this?

I restarted Word a couple of times and the error stopped.

Restarting the application, and/or restarting Windows often solves problems.
