Word2003: split window into Normal & Outline views

Who would've thunk it?
I am pleasantly surprised by Word2003.
My task is to copy/paste publication dates from a Gutenberg text file into a Word2003 document.

Specifically I want to paste the dates from raw data in the text file to the end of each "Heading 2" text without searching the document for the heading.
Knowing that it wouldn't work, I split the window and tried to set the second pane (<F6> key) into outline view.

To my intense annoyance  it worked, and now I have nothing to complain about.

Honest! I expected Word to object, or when I sent Pane2 into Outline view, I anticipated that Pane1 would be forced into Outline view. No Ifs, Ands, or Buts.

Cheers
Chris

And it still works in Word 2021 too!
Best wishes,

Well, that's Good news!
Now, will I migrate to 2021 or will you free up gobs of RAM by backsliding to 2003?
Cheers

With 6 documents open, Word 2021 uses 80 MB of RAM. That's only a small fraction of my 16 GB.
Best wishes,
Hans
