Greetings,
I am having a serious episode of weirdness.
I have Word from Office 2016 in English.
Suddenly, a while ago, I started getting the options for Asian fonts in the Font-related menus.
That was a distraction, but hadn't made it the nuisance level.
Now, in Find and Replace, if I want to search for a font and replace it with another font, I can only search or replace Asian fonts.
In the font selector dropdown, I still get the usual European fonts. I can't even type in "Calibri" or "Times New Roman".
This has gone beyond nuisance to enemy action!
Can anyone give me insight into what might have happened, and how to fix it?
TIA for any help,
Zk

If you select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language and scroll down, do you see an Asian language among the Preferred languages? If so, remove it.
Best wishes,
Hans

Hi Hans,
it wasn't preferred, but it was installed, so I uninstalled it. At least it's gone from the list.
I have no explanation of how that could happen in the first place.
At least now I can manipulate western fonts again.
Thanks.
