Form Document

Post by jstevens »

I have a three part question.

1. Is it possible to nudge a plain text control up, down, left or right. If so, how?
2. How to create a new plain text control in a specific part of the document.
3. Checkbox grouping for "yes and no" checkboxes. You can only choose "yes or no"; not both. I have a number of questions in the Word document that require a "yes or no" response.
Regards,
John

As to nudging, nope.
You can place them in table cells or text boxes. I don't recommend text boxes.

Charles,

I added a table (3 col x 1 row) to a document and it appears to have some type of formatting ie dotted line. The shading/formating option is set to a thin line left and right.

Since I'm going to add a plain text control to each is there a way not to display the dotted lines?

John,

Not knowing anything about the necessities of the form you need to create, I wonder if it's necessary to have both a Yes and a No checkbox? Can't you have a single checkbox--when it's ticked, it's Yes, when it's cleared, it's No?

Just askin'

Another option to Yes/No checkboxes is to have a dropdown with those two choices. Perhaps the third (default) could be "Choose Yes or No."

Kim,

It forces the user to select one or the other. If only one box was there then I would not know if they just missed selecting it.

I'm seeing 1 column by 3 rows and not seeing any dotted line. Generally a dotted line in a table is a non-printing gridline. You have to try to get a dotted line that prints.
