I have a file that when I save and try to close, Word asks if I want to save the file. I click Save. Then I try to close the file and Word against asks if I want to save the file. I click Save. This cycle repeats. I am not making any edits after I click save. How do I end this cycle?
The only way for me to shut down the file is to shut it down and select Don't Save. That actually gets it to shut down. If I click Save and then try to shut it down, the save dialogue reappears.
When I select Don't Save and shut down the file, the changes do in fact save.
Word puts me through a cycle of saving before I can shut down a file

Do you use any add-ins in Word?
If so, try disabling them temporarily to see if the prompt to save disappears.

I have an Acrobat and iManage Add-in. I don't think these are creating the issue though. If they were, wouldn't I have an issue with this saving cycle in all my files rather than just this one file?

I don't know, it was just a troubleshooting suggestion.
Does the document contain macros?

I tried deleting it, but I can't. I get this error.

It looks like the document is corrupt.
You might copy its contents to a blank new document. If the new document behaves correctly, you can discard the corrupt one.
