Unable to activate 365

Hi,

I have a friend who has 5 year old computer and pretty much has used Google Docs for her office excel etc. Her Microsoft account is tied to an old email address that she doesn't use anymore. It is what she uses to log into her computer. Apparently she had bought 365 at some point but never downloaded it. She downloaded and installed last night. She tried to open up one of the office programs but it won't open because the email is different from the one she bought it with. I had her try to register her laptop for the software but no luck with that. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Hans, i will let her know. I know she has tried calling them without success at getting through but she may not have have one of these numbers.
