Outlook emails display failing

WIn10 20H2 / MS365

Since today when I preview Outlook emails I see empty screens and sometimes a few words or one picture. When I open the emails I get the same. When I open in a browser all displays well.
I repaired Office (quick); reinstalled Edge, rebooted, scanned for viruses or malware: all is fine. I had no problems earlier.
What could be causing this?

Then I did an online repair: that reinstalled MS365, killed my activation, downgraded me to Office 2016 (where I STILL have the same problem).
I'm now #30 in a chat waitlist with MS... My first prio is to get the activation and MS365 back.

Anyone with a clue on why emails are not displaying well (again; they do display fragments, not nothing)

It's not you - a recent update to Microsoft 365/Office totally messed up Outlook. The Microsoft forums are overrun by complaints about it.

Can you go back to an earlier update? If not, try using Outlook Online or for example Gmail to view your messages.

Thanks Hans. I did Google to check if it wasn't me but couldn't find anything so I started the repairs. F... now I killed my installation :-(

MS gave me 365 back but I still can't get it activated. MS also failed and gave me a phone#... now on the line but this could take hours so I'll probably give up (for today)
