Service Pack 3 for 2007 Microsoft Office

Is the service Pack 3 for 2007 Microsoft Office Suite required (when using VBA) with Windows 8, I know Windows 7 and earlier

According to Windows Compatibility Center, Office 2007, with or without service packs, is compatible with Windows 8. I don't see a reason not to install SP3 though.

I’ve had occurrences before where macro would not function until service pack 3 was installed. Security issue.

But only with Office 2007
