I know that I have done this before but since iTunes has changed its interface, I cannot seem to find the options that will allow it.
I have created a ringtone on the Win 7 PC. I can navigate to it in Windows Explorer (or whatever it's called now). I want to add the .m4r file to the iPhone. I have tried every thing I could find to try in iTunes on the PC without success. The only option I can find is to sync the devices which I am warned will delete music and rt files from my iPhone. I've found all manner of articles googling but they all tell me that I have to sync to get the file transferred.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? Or, can you point me to a URL that will address the issue with iTunes 11.0.1.12?

Re: Transfer Ringtone File from Win 7 HE to iPhone without S
Hi,
I hope I remember the steps correctly... :)
1. Open iTunes
2. From the menu icon (top left), select Add Files to Library
3. Browse for your ringtone on the PC
4. Once the ringtone in in the library called Tones (hidden under the menu in the screenshot)...
5. Drag the ringtone to your phone (listed on the left) (Obviously your phone must be connected via USB at this point)
6. The ringtone will copy to your phones tone library
Hope this helps...

Thanks, Rudi!
My iTunes displays differently than yours, but I was able to transfer my ringtone to the iPhone.
Thanks, again!
