I am afraid that I messed up my registry on XP-sp3 with all ms fixes applied.
Does anyone know of a package or a procedure to audit the registry so I can see if I "Hosed" it?
I have tried going back a couple of weeks to the system restore points, but as it checks stuff I get a screen saying that no system changes have been made so it won't complete.
Thanks
Tom

Re: registry audit
You might want to do something more sophisticated than this, but CCleaner (freeware, just google it) has a registry cleaner. Don't know if that fits your pistol for this problem, though.

Re: registry audit
There is a step after the scan and before the clean up where you can make a backup of the registry.
DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!

Re: registry audit
Evidently the problem was isolated to only a few entries - I think I fixed them
