You can find the version as follows:
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Open "Programs and Features".
- Look at the version number displayed for Intel® Rapid Storage Technology.
Best wishes,
Hans

OK the version I have is 9.6.0.1014.

If I should install a newer one is it the one I mentioned in the posts above even though it specifies RAID drivers? Also if I install it do I uninstall version 9.6.0.14 first?

You can try installing the newer version; it won't be necessary to uninstall the current one. Make sure that you get the correct version for your OS.
Best wishes,
Hans

Well I have been very hesitant about posting this for fear of jinxing it but ever since the last MS updates were released, which I installed the same day, my computer is once again running as it should with no slow down when running CCleaner or any other programs. Those updates are the only changes that were made since I never did install the newer version of Intel® Rapid Storage Technology as discussed above. I still have no idea what the culprit that was causing the slowdown was but I have checked the computer every day since installing those updates and it has preformed as it should. Kind of makes me leery of the next batch of soon to be released MS updates.
