Can't delete video

I downloaded a video from You Tube, converted and burnt it to DVD then when I try to delete the original file I get a message saying it cannot be deleted as it is being used by another person or prog. As the screen shot showing the task manager proves, there is nothing else open / running. How can I delete this wretched file please? Thanks Dave.

Have you tried rebooting your computer and then deleting the file?

Hi Stuart....did just that this morning and it instantly disappeared to the recycle bin; any idea why this should happen? Thanks again Dave.

A process still had the file open, if you look in the process tab of task manager you will see dozens of running processes even if no applications are running.

Thanks a lot, something else to add to my bank of knowledge crammed into my aging brain, can't guarantee it be always be recoverable but then I can always resort to my archive of posts on the lounge. Many thanks Dave.
