MS blocking alternative app

My daughter's laptop instructs her to reregister with MS if she wishes to continue to use WORD so I suggested she try the free Libre which comes highly recommended. I downloaded it but MS prevents me from installing it. Please enlighten me if there is a way to bypass this unjust practice of MS? :thankyou: Dave

Click the 'Change my app recommendation settings' link.
Is there a 'Choose where to get apps' or similar drop down?
if so, select 'Anywhere' from the drop down.

Thanks Hans, could not see anything like those options so decided to get my local computer shop techie to put MS Word on for me instead. Regards Dave.
