The WindowsSecrets website stopped working again since yesterday - 500 error.

And nobody seems to know just what is going on. I don't miss it but it seems a shame that it should just disappear without explanation.

The site owners have not given any details beyond saying there was a catastrophic hardware error on multiple servers which housed multiple web sites. They have acknowledged some difficulties in getting the WindowsSecrets site restored with graphics/pics.

Have you seen the information now present when you go to the Windows Secrets forum page?

We are busy updating the site for you and it will be back online shortly!"

One might even call this "Fake News"...

The Windows Secrets Lounge is online again - they have restored a backup from June 1, 2017. All changes since then (posts, replies, password changes, new members, ...) are lost, at least for now.

I'd have been sacked if that's the best I could have done.
Almost unbelievable incompetence, I would say...

It's lucky I recorded my password from that far back, otherwise Problems would have Occurred.
Let's hope nine months of information can be retrieved, soon...

According to a contact, they are still working on the WSL and hope to have more restored soon.

Thanks, Joe - updating from 1 Jun to mid-Feb, and then adding all the new posts, members, password changes, etc, since yesterday should be a Lot of Fun!
