Inserting a line over vowels (e.g., ā)
Is there a way to generate a line above a vowel (as in ā) using the international keyboard? If not, is there some key combination that will work to that effect?

I don't use macron letters but I do occasionally need umlauts, euro, pound, fractions and other characters that ARE in the Character Map of Windows.
So, I use Clavier+ to generate those characters by assigning them to a hot key of my choice.
I also use Clavier+ to do other repetitive tasks like run a program, emit text like my address or email name, etc. etc.
It's free...
Edited to add: I copied these characters from the Arial character map: Ā ā Ē ē
