need help - which operating system?

I want to install os to my new computer.Plz tell anyone ,Which one is the best os? :flee:

"Which is the best os" is a difficult question to answer. It depends on your requirements and abilities.

There is an enormous amount of application software for Windows. The current version, Windows 7, generally works very well.

If you're technically minded, you might like to try one of the many flavors of Linux...

It also depends on what you mean by a 'new' computer. It may be new to you but is it actually many years old? In which case it might not be capable of running Windows 7.

You also need to consider what else you might want to connect to your computer. Some old printers and scanners will not work with 'modern' OSs like Windows XP/Vista/7.

Since this is a new machine, did it come with a OS, if so what OS is installed at this time?

If not, then you need to tell us what is built into this machine?
