I do not have a OneDrive icon on my taskbar nor have I ever seen one, so how would I stop OneDrive from trying to sign in every time I reboot my computer? What to do if I don't want to use OneDrive?
If you want to disable OneDrive entirely, you can also follow these steps: Right-click on the OneDrive icon in the taskbar. Select ``Settings.'' Click on the ``Account'' tab. Click ``Unlink this PC.'' This will unlink your computer from OneDrive and disable the syncing of your files and folders.

Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
1) Do you see the OneDrive icon if you click the 'Show Hidden Icons' button?
2) If not, press the Windows key or click the Start button.
Type Onedrive and press Enter.
Do you now see Onedrive in the taskbar or after clicking the 'Show hidden icons' button?
2) If not, press the Windows key or click the Start button.
Type Onedrive and press Enter.
Do you now see Onedrive in the taskbar or after clicking the 'Show hidden icons' button?

Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
Hans, the only place I see OneDrive in in the Systray after I click the Show Hidden Icons button, please see attachment:
If I type OneDrive after using the Windows button, I get this: So, as I was typing this I did find out how to unlink my PC by using the icon in the systray. It was one step before what is shown in the second attachment. There was a Settings button that appeared aftre right clicking the OneDrive icon in the systray. OneDrive's icon never did appear in the taskbar unless the systray is considered part of the taskbar, I never thought it was.
Thanks for your help
If I right click it, I get what can be seen in this attachment:
Not sure exactly what it means but it looks like the choice that is picked says I do not want to use OneDrive. If I type OneDrive after using the Windows button, I get this: So, as I was typing this I did find out how to unlink my PC by using the icon in the systray. Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
Seems I have to ask another question. I was making sure I followed the instructions in my OP on all my computers. It worked on all of them but one. I had to use the Windows key and type OneDrive and hit enter as I did on a couple of the other computers because the OneDrive icon was not visible. When I did that on one of my Win 10 Pro machines, instead of showing the OneDrive icon, it started running a setup of OneDrive. I immediately closed that setup and hope it did stop the installation of OneDrive. My question is, how did OneDrive get installed on my other computers because I never ran any installation setup of it? Also, I am assuming that since it tried to run a setup of OneDrive, it actually was not on that computer. I hope I am assuming correctly.

Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
Thank you. I still wonder how OneDrive got installed in the first place since I was offered an installation setup for it on my one Win 10 machine. I know I never ran any installation setup for it on any of my other machines. I suppose MS installed it trying to get me to use it.

Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
As far as I know OneDrive has always been a part of Windows 10 and 11, no installation required.

Re: I Do Not Want Nor Use OneDrive
NB, just because I think that doesn't mean it is so. After all you can install a OneDrive App, which as far as I can make out (so don't quote me
) is MS's latest way of making OneDrive a bit less confusing than it is. It also feasible that the OneDrive App is installed as part of the regular monthly Windows updates.
Can someone who does understand OneDrive clarify things?
