A suggestion: would it be possible to have the forum ID in a separate column or somehow set off from the date line when viewing Unanswered posts, Unread posts/New posts, Active topic?

I assume that you want the forum names in a separate column.
I fear that it's not feasible to tweak the forum software that much.
