Lines per display

Post by ChrisGreaves »

Is there a way to increase the number of posts on a display page?
I rather suspect we are restricted to so-many to avoid a sluggish response as the software assembles a display page with, say, 300 posts.
(That used to happen elsewhere?)
I'm asking because I wandered into my Control Panel and couldn't see any obvious options.
Thanks.

In the software we use, the number of threads on a forum page and the number of posts on a thread page are board-level settings, not user-level settings as in the old Woody's Lounge.
The number of threads per forum page is 25, and the number of posts per thread page is 20 (up from the original value of 10).
I fear that if we make these numbers much higher, loading a page might become slow for the increasing number of people using a smartphone or handheld device to visit the Lounge.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks, Hans. Agreed, it's as I thought.
I was mainly concerned that I might be suffering from Refrigerator Blindness.
