Admin,
Please can you clarify which is the best forum for posting questions relating to BATch / VBS script files? Every time I go to post, I am always hesitant as to where the post best fits?
TIA.
Which forum?

Re: Which forum?
VBScript is a variant of VBA so it belongs in the VB/VBA forum.
Batch files pose more of a problem - Windows General probably.

Re: Which forum?
Aside from the VBScript part of your question, I would go a step further than Hans on the batch file question.
Nothing wrong with Windows General but IF the batch file question DOES pertain to something one is doing in XP or an older version, or even Win 7, you might get a more explicit answer because of some very slight changes in the batch language.
I've even seen questions here about batch files in the Word forum wherein some was trying to do something "related" to Word in a batch file. It does take a bit of "what are you using" as well as "what are you trying to accomplish."
Hope I haven't muddied up the water...

Well, if I might be allowed to stir the pot, might I suggest the Cooking forum? Batch files are, I'm told, a recipe for disaster ...VegasNath wrote: I am always hesitant as to where the post best fits?
