Links in Eileen's Lounge

Post by Ted Myers »

What gives, when I clicked links on the old Lounge, they used to open in a new tab.
If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have NO luck at all.

In the previous version, we had tweaked the forum software to open all links in a new tab. Unfortunately, doing this in the current version is more difficult. So please use the middle mouse button/mouse wheel to click on links.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks Hans. Is there anyway a browser can be set to open links in a new tab?

As far as I know, there is no default setting for this - either use Ctrl+click or click the middle mouse button.

For Google Chrome, you could install the Open Links in New Tab extension. Should work in the new Chromium Edge too.
Best wishes,
Hans

Hello Hans, Just installed the links app, I set it to work in https://eileenslounge.com when I used it to open a link in a Scuttlebutt post, it opened in the same tab.
If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have NO luck at all.

I don't use Chrome myself, so I can't help you, sorry.

It appears that the lounge setting over ride any browser settings.
This also is happening with IE and Edge
