Re: New Styles
Great and quick work, will probably help some, and be to good use for other.
I don't want to put some rain on this, but: Somehow playing with these settings seems to be a ticket to get logged out.
-Clean cookies etc.
-Arrive at index page, click for portal page.
-Log in on the portal page.
-As first thing try a quick test with board style selector.
-Result: Logged out.
-Step backwards to index page, and click for portal page, and logged in again.
-Clean cookies etc.
-Arrive at index page, click for portal page.
-Log in on the portal page.
-Go to control panel, board preferences.
-Go from prosilver to Flat Style.
-Result: Logged out.
-Clean cookies etc.
-Arrive at index page, click for portal page.
-Log in on the portal page.
-Logged in with Flat Style.
-Change back to prosilver in board preferences.
-Still logged in.
-Go to portal page and test board style selector.
-Change to Flat Style.
-Result: Logged out.
Odd.
(I didn't do these exercises very often with previous software, but when I did I never got logged out, as far as I can remember.)

Re: New Styles
@Silverback: Great!
@Argus: I haven't experienced this myself - I'll log in as my test user (no special privileges) to see how I fare.

Re: New Styles
@Argus: my test user Dopje tried the exact steps that you described above, several times. I wasn't logged out at any point. So it's difficult to know what causes the problem...
Best wishes,

Re: New Styles
Thanks for testing, Hans!
Sorry that I didn't mention, but I was using Firefox in private browsing mode, in combination with blocking all cookies unless there's an exception, and there are exceptions for the Lounge. Should work (as it did earlier). Unless something has changed with how Firefox works. I'll do some more tests.

Re: New Styles
Tried normal browsing mode, didn't change anything, as one might expect (same cookie rules).
In the first paragraph that ends with: Step backwards to index page, and click for portal page, and logged in again. I didn't mention: but if I then try the temporary board style selector (again, after having arrived at the portal page as logged in again) I can change as many times as I like. Odd.

The ne-blackgreen style seems to be the product of a deranged mind!

Re: New Styles
Thanks for the new styles. I found one (Latte Red) that is close enough to the old subsilver2 to work for me, although I did not at first see what was 'red' about it.

Re: New Styles
The only difference between 'Latte' and 'Latte Red' is the color for new posts and forums with unread posts: beige+green for 'Latte' and beige+red for 'Latte Red'.

Re: New Styles
I'm using Firefox (latest edition) with all cookies deleted on exit (like you, with exception for Eileen's) but not in Private Browsing (using Private and blocking all cookies seems redundant to me, but I could be wrong). I do frequently get kicked off when I change styles. But then I log in a second time, re-change the style, and I'm fine. So far. Fingers crossed. Or crost.Argus wrote: ↑24 May 2020, 17:21Thanks for testing, Hans!

Re: New Styles
My, you are working overtime with styles now. Hope everyone can find something that will work.
( In the earlier added flat styles the log in text boxes (user menu, portal page) seem a bit too wide.)
Normal browsing (Firefox 76.0.1); troubleshooting mode (fail safe, whatever, i.e. sans add-ins, add-ons etc etc); this time no cookies blocked in Enhanced tracking protection.
-Clean cache, cookies, session.
-Arrive at Index page (3 cookies set for www . eileenslounge.com).
-Go to Portal.
-Log in via User menu.
-Arrive logged in at Portal (0 cookies set for eileenslounge.com).
-Flat Style in use, since changed at control panel earlier.
-Use Board style selector to temp. change to prosilver.
-Get logged out and utterly astounded (well, I had done a similar exercise above, but still).

Private browsing per se doesn't block cookies.Nick Vittum wrote: ↑24 May 2020, 19:45I'm using Firefox (latest edition) with all cookies deleted on exit (like you, with exception for Eileen's) but not in Private Browsing (using Private and blocking all cookies seems redundant to me, but I could be wrong). Cookies set in private windows are held temporarily in memory, separate from regular window cookies, and discarded at the end of your private session (after the last private window is closed).

Re: New Styles
I guess that is because Flat Style uses a slightly larger font. Since it's not a show-stopper I'll leave it as it is - I try to avoid customizing individual styles.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: New Styles
One more new style: Elegance.
Those of you who preferred to see the username and avatar on the left hand side, as in subsilver 2, might want to check it out.
