Signature Block

Post by PaulB »

Is it possible to insert comments in the user signature block that will not display as part of the signature?

Paul

I don't think that is possible. We are not working in the programming environment when posting.
One might be able to jippo it with small text or placed in a spoiler (if that works), but this will eat into the space used by the signature.

Rudi

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean.

Do you want to display some text under your signature, that appears to not be part of your signature?

If so, would a Horizontal Line do what you want?

I've found a way to do this. If someone can tell me how to quote my signature so that the markup tags will appear, I will share an example.

Hi Bob,

This is the BBcode for your signature:

It is done by replacing every [ with [t] and every ] with [/t]

Paul,
Here is my signature text from my UCP:

[pre]
Story of my life: I knew better but did it anyway!
Intel Core i5, 3570K, 3.40 GHz, 16 GB RAM, ECS Z77 H2-A3 Mobo, Windows 7 HPE 64-bit, MS Office 2016[pre]#comment[/pre]] [/quote][/pre]

Well, THAT didn't work!
[quote]Regards, BobH

You should be able to tell that the
comment (at the bottom) does not appear. Admittedly, it is within a table configuration, but maybe that will help you.

Thanks, Hans! Is that every left bracket or only the first and last?

It finally dawned on me to take a screenshot. I've now saved the text in my signature. It didn't appear in your post because I had not saved it with the " #comment doesn't display " text.

Back to the old drawing board! :hairout:

I SWEAR it worked when I did a Preview while in UCP>Profile>Edit Signature. :innocent:

You need to replace every [ and ] of the Lounge BBcode.

By the way, I do see the comment in your signature...
Best wishes,
Hans
