Polling in a reply

Post by ChrisGreaves »

I'm feel the answer is going to be "Yes, Chris; you can't do that", followed by the smiley for :HugeSigfhOfRelief:

I know how to post a poll question, but I suspect one can only start a poll as a New Topic.
I suspect that One cannot throw in a poll as a reply to an existing post in an existing thread.

Is my suspicion well-founded?

Thanks
Chris

You are quite right - a poll can only be created in the first post of a thread, not in a reply.
Best wishes,
Hans

You can place a link into the OP of the poll thread that points to the post in the thread in question.

Thanks Rudi.

That gave me an idea for a poll addressing the issue of whether "these links are useful", with a spray of links to various random threads ...

Cheers

After that poll you may want to do another followup poll to determine your popularity in the lounge!

For Chris, the apposite saying is: "He was world-famous in his home village"!
Yes, I know that Toronto is not a village, but you have to allow some degree of poetic licence!

All my life I have tried multiplying really large numbers by zero.
That amounted to nothing.

It was only yesterday, after a visit to the Australian Consulate, that i learned what an apostille was. Now I have another "Ap" to master ... :groan:
