Re: Who pays?
Thank you very much for the offer, we appreciate it!
But it isn't necessary to donate. We run without costs, so we are happy to provide Eileen's Lounge for free!

As an avid reader of Robert Heinlein books, I believe the the correct quote is TANSTAAFL. There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch. I first recall seeing it in his 1966 book The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress.BobH wrote:Eileen's Lounge is indeed a smorgasbord for us, but there is no lunch here. Why? TINSTAAFLSpoiler

Re: Who pays?
Thank you, kind sir - but what is the unusual drink they call "express|o coffee"?
Is this peculiar to Torontonians?

Come come, my good man, EVERYTHING is peculiar to Torontonians for the simple reason that Torontonians are a peculiar people.John Gray wrote:Thank you, kind sir - but what is the unusual drink they call "express|o coffee"? Is this peculiar to Torontonians?
I seem to recall that we "did " cafe ole a year or two back, so let me try what looks like "expressjo coffee" with a play on Hijo, and it could be the sort of coffee you'd expect a son, or perhaps a sone of the soil, to stipulate.
Cheers

I first saw it in a college lecture on economics in 1961 in the TINSTAAFL form, it being college and all.NotQuite wrote:As an avid reader of Robert Heinlein books, I believe the the correct quote is TANSTAAFL. I bow before one who saw it in college when I was but a 2 year old, but I still prefer Heinlein's version.BobH wrote:I first saw it in a college lecture on economics in 1961 in the TINSTAAFL form, it being college and all.NotQuite wrote:As an avid reader of Robert Heinlein books, I believe the the correct quote is TANSTAAFL.
