Re: Log in to Eileen's
I use Chrome, the only time I ever need to log in is after I run CCleaner to do a complete clean.
Try this:
Close Eileenslounge tab,
got to setting - advanced - manage password . Find Eileenslounge, delete the password, exit Chrome, restart it and get into the lounge again. IF is asks for a password, enter username and password and allow Chrome to safe it. Hopefully that'll fix it for you.

Re: Log in to Eileen's
Hi Claude, just tried your suggestion, plus I ran Ccleaner with EL's cookies removed from the save list. I also tried logging out hoping it would clear the cookies, Nothing changed. I use Chromes 'Sync' feature, maybe that has something to do with it.

Re: Log in to Eileen's
Could be a Chrome problem, try uninstalling Chrome (With Revo Uninstaller if possible) and re-install.
Cheers, Claude.

Sounds like your EL cookies are being removed when closing Chrome.

Based on what Dave suggests, see here for controlling cookies (within Chrome).

I have just powered up my Laptop.I accessed EL using FF portable and was taken directly to 'Portal' no sign in required.Claude wrote:Could be a Chrome problem, try uninstalling Chrome (With Revo Uninstaller if possible) and re-install.
I then used the link in TB for this thread and got:-
This occurs on both my pc's.
I will now try the suggestions from the other members above.

Re: Log in to Eileen's
I suspect that following a link from a notification bypasses the Lounge cookies, so there may not be a solution to that.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Log in to Eileen's
I noticed this behaviour in Google Chrome a few weeks ago as well.
Previously I was always logged in automatically here.
The situation now is as in Post #1 from Roadrunner.
I am still logged in automatically here using Internet Explorer 11
I have not noticed this behvior recently in other Forums when using Google Chrome. I still seem to be looged in automatically currently.
However, I have noticed previously that these things seem to change from time to time, especially with Google Chrome. Things like checking the remember me box sometimes had an effect, sometimes not.
I have noticed that these things can be a bit inconsistant and change with time.

Hi Folks,
I made this .doc file last time I had trouble with Chrome. It may help others.

Perhaps you should avoid Chrome and use Internet Explorer or Firefox instead...

I'll probably give it a week to sort it's self out then return to FF. although it does not get a good write up on How to Geek.HansV wrote:Perhaps you should avoid Chrome and use Internet Explorer or Firefox instead...

Re: Log in to Eileen's
I have been using Edge since the Fall update, and I have no problem with auto login.
Even tried IE and it has been some time since I used it and I was also auto logged in.

Hmmm... in my opinion Firefox is an excellent browser, especially after the improvements in Firefox Quantum, released late last year.Roderunner wrote:(...) return to FF. although it does not get a good write up on How to Geek.
And you're correct, Edge only works on Windows 10.

Re: Log in to Eileen's
I have always loved FF, it was only because I was reluctant to use its method of sync that I started using Chrome.HansV wrote:Hmmm... in my opinion Firefox is an excellent browser, especially after the improvements in Firefox Quantum, released late last year.Roderunner wrote:(...) return to FF. although it does not get a good write up on How to Geek.

The only down side is, if I open another browser, I get pestered to use/install Chrome and Gmail is my other factor. I will need a search engine other than Google, that should be easy.
Well it's nearly my feeding time & I'm out playing flat indoor bowls starting at 1830hrs.
